Parklands

This £10million project saw the creation or enhancement of five parks and green spaces across North Kent: in Dartford; Gravesham; Medway and Swale.

These parks were influenced and inspired by a series of landscape studies called Cluster Studies, which worked with a number of partners including the RSPB, Kent Wildlife Trust, local authorities and government agencies such as Natural England and the Environment Agency, to identify areas of local need where investment in open spaces would improve the quality of life for communities as well as boosting biodiversity and protecting wildlife.

The projects included Dartford Greenheart; Cyclopark near Gravesend; Great Lines Heritage Park in Chatham and Milton Creek Country Park in Sittingbourne.
